Heather Maxwell and Mick Reed's genealogy pages explore the histories of our respective families. We want to share information with family members known and - as yet - unknown. Beginning with First Fleet convicts Ann Forbes and James Peaulet, Heather's ancestors came to Australia in chains, or as free settlers, from various parts of the British Isles. Mick's ancestors came from different places in England, although one branch is known to have originated in Germany.

There are certainly errors in our data and we'd appreciate any corrections. If you have any questions, comments, or additional information and material relevant to this site, please email us. We'd very much like to hear from you.

We must acknowledge the many friends that we've made over the years of studying our family histories.

For help with Heather's family, we would particularly like to thank Lynne and Grayeme Bone, Mary-Anne Scott, Sandy Arrell, Dorothy Griffey, David Freeman, Jean Tonzing, Tom Maxwell, Anne Dunham, Di Christensen, Gwen Levingston, and Doug and Shirley White.

Mick's family history could not have reached the stage it has without help from Penny Poulton, Eddie Reed, Edmund Reed, John Stuart Reed, David Reed, Peter Reed, Tom Reed, Jean Beard, Lily Griffin, Keith and Sue Minting, Jean Jubb, the late Celia Kennedy, Colin Smith, Mary Leahy, Jean and Frank Goddard, and Margaret and Ian Stevens.

And finally we dedicate the site to those that follow, especially Brighde Reed, Jack Reed, Steve and Teresa Reed, and their children James and Emily, Paul and Andrea Reed and their son Elliott.
